This in a AHA Sanctioned competition that IBU holds each year in March. IBU takes entries from all over the country in all Homebrew, mead, and cider categories. Medals are given to the top 3 for each style with a best in show and a special IBU top hoppy beer. The IBU Open is even qualifying for the High Plains Brewer Award.
