Hey IBUer's and others,

Hope you all had a good holiday season.  I know I drank too much... family will do that.  Anyways, just wanted to send out an update. First off, just wanted to say thanks to Mike G from 'Cabco' for donating some hops once again to IBU this year.  We'll be handing those out at the next meeting. He gave us Columbus, Glacier, and Liberty hops.  First come first serve, but we'll be breaking those down into 1oz baggies for people to hand out. 

Second, Keanan L. will have more IBU glasses for sale at the meeting.  Prices around $5 bucks if you want some more for those who didn't buy any at the Christmas Party. 

Third, we need to know who all brewed for the Club Barrel so far, and if it's going to be ready by this meeting?  So far I have Dave O, Josh C, and Scott A as the only brewers so far. That's only 30 gallons, the barrels is 53 gal.  I knew we had more that signed up, but nobody responded.  If we have enough people brewing, we also need people to judge those beers.  So far only Brian Lenderts said he'd judge.  So help the club out on this if you can. If there's not enough beer or judges, then we need to figure something else out.

Forth, we'll go over things for the IBU Open. We need judges, stewards and of course people to brew to enter.  So time to start thinking about brewing your entry now.

And last, we'll be having a vote for President (my position) and Secretary (Drew S. position).  Not sure if anybody out their put their names in or not, but just a reminder that I will no longer be able to be full time to club this year. I can help out as much as possible, but somebody else is going to have to step up for the majority or we'll have to do it by committee (make vice pres Matt Melcher Acting Pres, with me helping on the sidelines. And make Drew S. Vice Pres). Not sure how that works out for the club, I might be able to swing it occasionally, but something we need to think about.
