Comment by Jeremy Sievers on February 21, 2011 at 4:26pm How is this going to be judged? Blind group vote, day of? Official beer judge style, bring a blank bottle?
I say everyone brings a sixer or equivalent to share. Then we hand out note cards, number the beer and then everyone gets to rank 1-5 then best average wins.
Winner has to post recipe.
We should decide tonight at meeting.
Comment by Jeremy Sievers on February 26, 2011 at 9:12pm OK, my entry is in the fermenter. 6oz was a lot of hops to stuff in that beer.
Just a reminder to everyone, the only beer at April's meeting is the Iron Brewer entries.
One thing we didn't cover at the last meeting was if the brewer of the month should still bring their delicious wood aged beer, I think yes. Can we get a ruling from the prez?

Comment by Jeremy Sievers on March 10, 2011 at 5:54pm Brew is in the keg, that is one a spicy meatball...turned out quite nice, better then crap I pawned off as beer for the IBU open.
Actually pretty cool beer, I never would have tried a beer like this without the Iron Brewer Contest...haveing a party next friday, really need to bottle a case so we don't drink it all from the keg.
Look forward to talking about everyones beer at april meeting, cheers.

Comment by Steve Breman on March 14, 2011 at 8:49pm I am new to the group but was able to obtain the required hops from a member that did not have time to participate in this event. My brew is kegged and carbonated. I use 2 liter growlers. How many should I bring?
